Instructions for Use from CarPlan:
Switch off the engine of the rescue vehicle.
Attach the red clamps to the positive pole on the battery of each car (rescue vehicle first).
Attach the black clamps to the negative pole on the battery of the rescue vehicle.
Attach the other black clamp to the vehicle with the flat battery, attach to an unpainted point on the engine or chassis away from the battery, carburettor, fuel lines or brake pipes.
Start the rescue vehicle.
Use the (normal) ignition key to start the vehicle with the flat battery (NOTE: do not turn the ignition key for more than 15 seconds at a time. Wait one minute between each attempt. When the engine in the vehicle with the flat battery starts, wait 2 to 3 minutes then turn off the engine of the rescue vehicle.
Disconnect the leads in reverse order, ensuring the clamps do not touch each other or any metal surface.
